# Keiser Lab @ UCSF > AI/ML research lab at UCSF (2014-2025), led by Associate Professor > Michael Keiser, mentoring 45+ scientists. The lab built AI for drug > discovery, neuropathology, phenotypic profiling, and molecular design, > progressively advancing the AI methods themselves. Michael is now > co-founder at Sygaldry Technologies, building quantum-accelerated AI. ## Research The lab's research progressed from applied to fundamental: 1. Systems pharmacology and molecular prediction: from the Similarity Ensemble Approach (SEA) to deep learning representations like E3FP 2. AI for complex biological systems: phenotypic profiling in zebrafish, neuropathology image analysis, 3D genome organization 3. Advancing AI methods for science: generative diffusion models for molecular design, single-cell language models, adversarial evaluation, retrieval-augmented approaches ## Site map - [Research](https://keiserlab.org/research/) — narrative of the lab's research trajectory - [Publications](https://keiserlab.org/publications/) — citations with preprint, code, and data links - [Code & data](https://keiserlab.org/resources/) — per-paper code repositories and datasets - [People](https://keiserlab.org/people/) - [News](https://keiserlab.org/news/) - [DEI](https://keiserlab.org/dei/) - [About](https://keiserlab.org/about/) ## Code archive - [github.com/keiserlab](https://github.com/keiserlab) — complete public code archive ## Optional - [RSS feed](https://keiserlab.org/feed.xml) - [Sitemap](https://keiserlab.org/sitemap.xml)
